CTM has a dedicated bunker department for the purchase of fuel products, for account of its managed Companies. The bunker department will also act for and on behalf of third parties. Fuel products are procured directly from the Majors, such as Shell, Petrobras, Exxon, Mobil, BP, ENI or Total and from first class traders.
The bunkers purchased and supplied are in compliance with the specification of ISO 8217:2005.
Bunker hedging is a further activity undertaken by the department, through Major bunker suppliers and banks.
