The Company moved from Genova (Italy) to the present location in Monaco in the 2004, assuming the present name C Transport Maritime Sam (CTM) on the 14th April 2006.
C Transport Maritime (CTM) is the commercial shipping arm of DryLog, which is in turn a 100% subsidiary of Ceres Shipping Ltd.
In January 2008, DryLog Ltd., Bermuda and its associated companies took 100% control of the former pool companies C transport Cape Size Ltd. (CTC) and C Transport Panamax Ltd. (CTP). The number of vessels controlled on period Charter by CTC and CTP varies according to client needs and market circumstances and in recent years has fluctuated between 25 to a 100 vessels and have between them carried an average of about 60 million tons/year in the last four years.
In addition to the tonnage controlled by CTC and CTP, DryLog and its Associates have own and/or control 47 vessels of which 23 are on order or to be delivered into long-term charters over the period 2009-2013.
The foundation of the Company’s is based on the presence of significant levels of technological expertise, the professionalism of its managers and employees, which have several years of experience in the commercial and operational management of dry cargo vessels, and in the ancient traditions of good seamanship.
DBCN was established on the 3rd February 2004 and is today fully owned by Dry Bulk Handy Holding Inc a 50/50 Joint Venture between Corvina Shipping Co.S.A. , part of the Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores Group (CSAV) and DryLog Bulkcarriers ltd (DryLog Group).
